My experience was rather interesting but familiar, as I was previously in Odyssey of the Mind. It also brought back many memories of that in DI, as well as getting to bond with my group mates.
Despite the task being very challenging, it was an interesting and i enjoyed the process of making the tower as we had a budget and we could utilize different materials to make it and had to solve problems
My experience was very exciting, because I have never done anything like the DI Challenge before, so I learnt and experienced new things. It is very different from other competitions I have participated before, because the DI challenge requires a lot of critical thinking and creativity.
I found it quite frustrating throughout the thing as we were always trying to catch up with time and stress but it also was a challenge that was taken willingly as the experience was worthwhile. Trying to improvise with stuff that we have into something that we don't have etc etc. - Iskandar
My experience was very exciting because it was the first time we had to finish a project in such a short period of time. It was tiring but fun. For one of the group meetings, I even had to rush from Payar Lebar to Chua Chu Kang to help out in making the props. But overall, I think that the Destination Imagination is very exciting and something to look forward to.
At first, i was not quite sure about the DI as i did not participate in any of these types of programmes before. We also had difficulties choosing on our topic as some of the group members had orientation camp to attend. So, for the first 2 weeks, we did not utilise our time well in completing our project. After choosing the topic,we set aside some time to discuss on the project and began our projects and doing our props. Besides that, i enjoyed myself and bond with my groupmates.
This experience has been a bit hectic for me as I felt that we did not have enough time to complete the project with all the current projects we had. However, this experience was a rather enjoyable as I could finally find a way to use the old toys that I keep at home as props.
It was really challenging since I never build a structure that tall before. It was also interesting since we had a budget to make that structure using any materials we want.
At the beginning things started out slow as we were only planning for our challenge but after the first few weeks when we needed to finalise our design and start to make our structure and claw we started to lag behind as we were not able to get some of the materials we needed. Javin
I had to place my differences aside and brainstorm together as a group, trying to make sure that our group had greater results.

ReplyDeletei felt that this was a very hectic programme, needing to balance innovation in line with trying to make it actually humorous/ meaningful.
